May 29 Windsurfing Lesson

Welcome to today’s English windsurfing lesson! First real summer day with constant onshore breeze throughout. Cleare sky also brings Mt. Fuji to the views, sitting quietly in the background for windsurfers in the bay (by the way there’s still snow on top. Any backcountry skiers?).

Anyway – perfect day for beginner practice.

On this lucky day we are welcoming two friends from the States.

Learning and improving at astonishing speed, mastering the tack in half day.

Behold the stability in sailing form. But of course, no learning without trial and error –

The afternoon session was adventure into the open sea. Choppy condition made it hard to pull up the sail.

Returning to the beach just to find no parking space left…
